Barsoom Wargaming Figures

This cavalry figure is quite large, well scupted and detailed. Flash is minimal, and it glued together without any problems. I used Gorilla Superglue.

I Love It, But Some Issues
Posted by Azalah on Jul 12th 2022
The rider is and his weapons are pewter and are very nice. No complaints.
The real problems come with the Thoat. The sculpt by itself is very impressive and detailed, but it comes in several pieces that, when assembled, leaves some pretty sizable gaps.
The other problem is that the casting had a lot of bubbles in it. It took me quite a while to clean up a bunch of smaller ones, but there was a very large mass of them on the main body where the neck connects that I had to sand down. The tail itself has two internal bubbles that took out a good chunk of it, but luckily that's hidden when connected to the main body.
I really wish I could give this a higher rating, and I'm still extremely happy to have bought it. But these were large issues for me that took hours to fix. -
Mounted Thark(?)

It had been many years since I had ordered a mounted Wasteland Mutant from David. His new material for casting the Thoat is GREAT! Far far superior to the old resin used in the past. The detail is outstanding. The dark grey color also is a bonus for me as I generally prime things grey so this helps me out. The mounted warrior is perfectly done. The long lance is truly an awesome weapon!

An impressive beast

This is a gorgeous and impressive model. It's HUGE, much bigger than I expected. It also takes a bit of work and putty to assemble - I recommend some familiarity with sculpting putty for both the neck and tail joints. But it's worth the effort. This thing will dominate any tabletop it's sitting on.
